Meet Jerri Brouse

Jerri Brouse is a freelance writer and photographer from Lewisburg, PA. She graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 1994 with a BA in English and writing/journalism. After a 10-year stint as a full-time staff writer and columnist at The Standard-Journal Newspaper, she ventured into freelance writing and photography. She has written for a variety of newspapers both local, regional and state-wide, as well as for several university publications and/or websites for Bucknell and Bloomsburg.

Brouse lives with her husband, Tim, and three daughters, Sydney, 19; Halle, 16; and Avery, 12. They have three cats and a Golden Retriever named Daisy.

A lifelong animal lover, she as enjoys working with area rescue organizations fostering both cats and dogs and is a member of the committee that oversees The Scratching Post, Lewisburg’s “cat cafe.”
